Recognizing Symptoms of Iron Deficiency


Are you getting enough iron? Being deficient in a vital vitamin is not a good thing. Ignoring your iron deficiency problem can affect your health badly. But you can avoid those problems if you can recognize symptoms of iron deficiency. Developmental growth or cardiovascular issues are the result of inadequate nutritional intake. Red blood cells don’t get enough iron to perform smoothly. Iron deficiency is common problem especially in pregnant women.

  • Do you feel tired or week? If yes, it can be a symptom of iron deficiency. It is because the number of red blood cells has been decreased because of iron deficiency. Red blood cells give you strength and energy.

  • Do you feel depressed? People suffering from iron deficiency often avoid engaging in routine activities.
     

  • There are some other symptoms like sensitivity to cold, feeling dizzy or short of breath

  • Some people suffering from anemia have difficulty in sleeping. Restlessness at night is very common.

  • Lack of nutrition often leads to iron deficiency. The problem is common among pregnant women, children and teens. It is because their bodies are simply not getting enough iron and some other important nutrients. Your diet must be a balanced diet.
